CROSSING THE ANDES MOUNTAIN:
This is a trip that combines the best of adventure with the history of the place.
We use the frontier crossing “Colina”, the same one that was used by the spy of general San Martin, the smugglers and traders of XIX century. Their history was rich and you go on writing it.
The proposal is to horse ride in the bowels of the Andes mountain, accompanied with skillful guides, mules of burden and all we need to be self sufficient during 8 days.
The horse ride crossing brings us to the crate of the Maipo volcano in Chile. The spring baths of Colina waits for us to relax our body and re gain strength.
We will bath in the same waters that general San Martin choose to recover his health to give afterward the freedom to Alto Peru
.
We drive back to Mendoza city through the border pass of “Cristo Redentor” by car.
Mendoza - Chile - Mendoza:
High season: January until march
Lasting: 8 days, 7 nights
Includes: night spending in guest house and mountain shelter, horses, skillful guides, mules of burden, full board, haus wine, transfer from and to Mendoza city.
1st day reception in Mendoza city, transfer to the ranch. Adapting to the horse, night spending.
2nd day Horseback riding until mountain shelter “El Toscal” here we spend the night.
3rd day Horseback riding, visit to the “Petroglifos del real de Bolbaran”( stone paintings, archeological founds). It’s a day for relaxing, sportive fishing.
We spend the night in “El Toscal”, adapting to the height.
